Landscaping generally takes place in the off-season to avoid disturbing the enjoyment of the garden in the summer and ensure that larger projects are complete by springtime.

We have extensive knowledge and experience working with timber and have constructed several raised beds and garden steps using green oak or railway sleepers. We can also build bespoke decking, fencing and trellis for climbing plants such as clematis.

Spruce Gardens install lawn edging using either treated timber which is cost effective, or Everedge, a premium product made from metal that is long lasting and very smart. This can be combined with rose arches, circular flower beds, curved paths, or even a parterre design.

Other traditional landscaping tasks include rotavating, tilling or cultivating in preparation for lawn seeding or planting with imported topsoil. Paved paths, patios or terraces can be laid and working with third parties, artificial grass or even a 3G pitch can be installed for the kids to practice their football skills. Drainage projects have included ditches, land drains and French drains. Smaller projects might include laying a shed base or providing a bin store area.
